I’ve lived in Dozza, Emilia-Romagna since 2002, and for over 20 years I’ve been working as a walking and cycling guide across Europe and Southeast Asia. Although I still occasionally lead trips as a guide, I now enjoy a slower pace of life here in Dozza, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and wonderful local food. Dozza is a true hidden gem — close to Bologna, yet still peaceful and authentic, with far fewer tourists than the neighboring provinces.
I feel very lucky to live here, in a place that perfectly combines nature, art, and the incredible cuisine that makes Bologna the culinary capital of Italy.
